OUR STAFF
Laurie Healey
OWNER AND ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Laurie Healey is the proud owner and founder of Dance Dimension Studio, which she established in 2001 with a vision of creating a supportive, inspiring space for dancers of all ages. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Bridgewater State University with a concentration in Dance, Theater, and Speech Communications, where she made a lasting impact as Dance Company President for three years and founded the beloved Pops Show—an annual tradition that continues to thrive today.
As a board member of the National Dance Foundation, Laurie is deeply committed to the organization’s mission of making dance accessible to all and using the art form to uplift communities. She is passionate about creating opportunities for dancers of every background and ability level, believing that dance should be a space where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and empowered.
At the heart of everything Laurie does is her dedication to fostering a true “dance family” environment. She believes that a studio should be more than just a place to train—it should be a second home where students feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves. Laurie prioritizes building strong relationships with her dancers and their families, creating a positive atmosphere where kindness, teamwork, and confidence are just as important as technique.
In addition to her work in dance, Laurie has an extensive background in theater and education. She has served as a drama director at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School, St. Bridget School, and Meeting House Montessori School, and has choreographed productions for Thayer Academy Drama. She has also served cheer coach for South Shore Vocational Technical High School and St. Bridget School, further expanding her impact across multiple areas of the performing arts.
Laurie is a Montessori-certified teacher for students ages 6–12, bringing a thoughtful, student-centered approach to both her teaching and leadership. She is also a Reiki Master Teacher and a certified QPR Trainer in Massachusetts. Through her work with the Plymouth County Suicide Prevention Coalition, she is trained in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and Talk Saves Lives, reflecting her deep commitment to mental health awareness and overall wellness.
Laurie strives to support her students not only as dancers, but as individuals—helping them grow into confident, compassionate people both on and off the stage.
